Arms
Robot Carnival: APPP (1987), a collection of shorts under different aliases, was formed while Arms (also under a different alias) was commonly known for producing several hentai and ero works. Each short works under the general theme of robots and technology.
Kite (1998) portrays the fractured livelihood of an assassin who runs into conflicts between other shady individuals and organisations. Gore (of excessive amounts) amplifies the suspense between main characters and their rivals. The sexual abuse the character experience reveals her psychological torment and upbringings. The jazz backdrops are notable for syncing well with the visual stimulation of the movie.
Mezzo Forte (2000), directed by Yasoumi Umetsu of Kite, is a slapstick action comedy with similarly inventive visuals as Kite, along-side unique scenarios. Mezzo Forte would be adapted into a full TV series.
Elfen Lied (2004), a TV anime directed by Mamoru Kanbe, is an adaptation by Lynn Okamoto of peculiar tastes. Similarly, the TV show incorporates excessive gore and disturbing themes throughout.
