Composed entirely of novelty and little of substance, Heaven’s Lost Property (2009) is a romantic comedy with a “unique premise”. While occasionally funny, Lost Property uses grating romantic cliches to dampen its experience.
Heaven’s Lost Property Forte (2010) increases the scale of creativity while reducing the quality of each visual joke and gag (to the point of braindead absurdity). Nothing here is clever, and only in its most extreme states does any of its novelty qualities still take effect.
